Project proposals submitted by IAWRT members are reviewed by the board members who approve amounts granted.

A handbook of strategies for ensuring women have an impact in media and their views and values are integral to programming, has been completed and is now available in our publications section.

Conflict, migration and the experience of exile

The 2019 IAWRT documentary, Displacement & Resilience: women Iive for a new day, is on the theme of the worldwide refugee crisis and rising intolerance and polarisation all over the world.

IAWRT decided in 2018 to add a new action area to its portfolio in support of its overall a mission to strengthen initiatives towards ensuring women’s views and values are integral part of programming and to advance the impact of women in media. The new committee will focus on extending the IAWRT mission to women and girls living in rural areas of the global South.


A project based on the successes of the 2014-2015 pilot Gender Mainstreaming Project (GMP) supplemented by UNESCO-Norway funding to develop best practice methodology to f
